This Is Just To Say
Normally, I like to use my own words, but frankly, this day has rendered me mute with rage, so I'll borrow. To the hopeless fuck-mule who scammed my debit card information and cleaned out my bank account: Well, I certainly hope you'll die soon. Note: Comments are closed on old entries. Comments Man, that totally sucks. Hope your bank does you a decent and gives you at least some of it back. Seriously. Do they do things like that? this is just to say I have stolen and which You have my sympathy, I've had a similar thing happen, I hope you can get something back out of the bank. a william carlos williams parody in this context makes little sense to me. Skot-- Joe Assholes, man. That fucking sucks. I send you all the comfort I got. Hey Skot -- Presuming that the transactions that fucknut performed using your card number were not atm withdrawals but debit card purchases, the bank is obligated to give you your money back promptly. if they resist tell them you want to charge back all the fraud transactions. but you probably know this already... No! So sorry. I thought this happened to me once but I was wrong--you know all the numbers to call? Make sure to call the credit reporting bureau to stop any accounts from being opened in your name. I hope it gets straightened out soon...It's awful! Man that sucks. Next time I make it out to Seattle, I'll look you up and bye you a scotch. That always makes me feel better. Skot, Perhaps those of us who constitute your tens of readers can send you some $$ to help out? Thanks for all the words of sympathy, folks. I've been talking to my bank--oh, and how I'll be talking to them--and I anticipate that this will all be worked out. Despite my tone (I was pretty hot), it seems that I'll get my cash back. To be honest, since it was the end of the month, the bastard didn't have all that much to work with in the first place, and I get paid tomorrow anyway. But thanks again. We now return to our regularly scheduled generic misanthropy. Somehow, hippies are to blame for this. I sincerely hope they get anally violated by a gang of PCP-addled nazi skinheads. (It worries me sometimes how often I wish this on people.) Fear of such an event is why I advocate living well beyond your means and keeping that bank account hovering just ever so slightly above zero...that way, there's not much to steal! So sorry to hear about it though...and hoping it all gets fixed real soon. Uh.. this just happened to Tom Tomorrow http://www.thismodernworld.com/weblog/mtarchives/week_2004_04_18.html#001481 and http://www.thismodernworld.com/weblog/mtarchives/week_2004_04_18.html#001482 Auugh! Awful. I hope you get it straightened out. Those Nigerian scammers are getting more sophisticated, aren't they? The bastards! Post a comment |
